MAYORS FOR MARRIAGE EQUALITY
Vótáil Tá
As Mayors and Cathaoirligh of local authorities across Ireland, we proudly stand together supporting civil marriage equality. We know many gay and lesbian people living in our towns and cities who are in loving relationships and who are active participants in those communities. They and future generations deserve to be able to marry the person with whom they share their lives.
Mar Mhéaraí agus Chathaoirligh ar údaráis áitiúla ar fud na hÉireann, seasaimid le chéile go bródúil chun tacú le comhionannas pósta sibhialta. Tá aithne againn ar cuid mhór daoine aeracha atá ina gcónaí inár mbailte agus ár gcathracha atá i gcaidrimh grámhara agus a chuireann go mór le saol an phobail. Tá sé de cheart acu a bheith in ann pósadh.

authority area.
A chara,
My name is Joe Bloggs and I am a resident in your local authority region.
I am writing to urge you to become a Mayor/Cathaoirleach for Marriage Equality.
I am aware of countless individuals resident in our local authority region who are relying on the leadership shown by elected representatives and activists alike.
Those gay and lesbian people are active participants in our communities and deserve to be able to marry the person with whom they love and share their lives.
Civil marriage equality will improve the lives of people and families who call our communities home.
In the words of the late and great Nelson Mandela; “No single person can liberate a country, you can liberate a country when you act as a collective”.
This is why I am supporting a Yes vote for civil marriage equality in the upcoming referendum.
I am asking you to play your small part in supporting equality by becoming a Mayor/Cathaoirleach for Marriage Equality.
I invite you to read more about this initiative at www.mayorsformarriage.org and I look forward to hearing from you.
Le gach dea-ghuí,
Joe Bloggs.
